The Freedom Ride celebrates the power of the bicycle to connect our communities and our cities – while honoring the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
In 2014 the Freedom Ride was launched in Johannesburg, with Cape Town set to host its first event in August!
The ride is a non competitive event and attracts a diverse group of cyclists of all ages both pro cyclists and newbies. With over 3000 people riding on the day, it is one of SA largest social cycling events.

We were commissioned by the Bicycling Empowerment Network to create a new visual identity the Freedom Ride brand and a website/online platform that would connect all the Freedom Rides happening around the country.
