If you dig trees and traveling, then super cool, Greenpop’s Trees for Zambia Project is definitely for you! For 3 weeks in July 2012, they will be hosting a reforestation and conservation education project in Livingstone, in partnership with Zambezi Nkuku. In an effort to fight this drastic deforestation, Greenpop will be planting 5,000 to 10,000 trees in Livingstone and spreading education… Read more to find out how to volunteer and/or support this project from home!

Greenpop Reforest Fest at Platbos Forest – 1000 trees in 1 day

In June 2011, Greenpop took 100 volunteers to Platbos Forest for a weekend of planting, festivities, dirty hands and fun!
Parts of the ancient forest have been deforested over the years and we wanted to make a change – we managed to plant 1000 indigenous trees in 1 day!

GreenPop #9 – Green Crusaders

The first Greenpop flash mob went down a treat. 15 cyclist,   skateboarders and sector-niners whizzed through rush hour traffic at 4pm   on Friday 3 September. One of our green super heros spoke on Heart FM   during the ride and got drivers to hoot if they recognised us. It was   crazy, a green-caped brigade on De Waal drive!
