Dramatic film from Green renaissance about the WWF Black Rhino Range Expansion Project where 19 of the critically endangered animals were moved from the Eastern Cape to a new location in Limpopo province. A relatively new capture technique was used to airlift some of the rhinos out of difficult or inaccessible areas by helicopter.
On World Rhino Day the Green Renaissance team, together with a few passionate volunteers made and erected 282 wooden crosses along Sea Point promenade in Cape Town to symbolize the rhinos killed this year in South Africa.
When you have to make this many crosses you realize just how many rhinos have been killed, and walking through the crosses one fully understands the plight of our rhinos.
One rhino killed is one rhino too many.
