Espidose 6 Transition SA: The Two Oceans Aquarium, Cape Town, is passionate about inspiring in its visitors a love of and respect for the oceans and educating them about the issues of climate change and pollution. In 2011, together with Project 90 x 2030 they embarked on a truly ground breaking project – to become a green energy demonstration site and install the first grid tied wind and solar PV system in the City of Cape Town. This project is set to change the way we view energy generation and hopefully lead the way for similar green energy projects in the city.

Tanzania is already experiencing the impacts of climate change. The Eastern Arc Mountains remain as a natural refuge to some of these changes.

By using interviews, drama scenes and animation the film showcases climate change experiences by communities in northern Tanzania, aims to explain the causes of climate change, and presents some adaptation options and future strategies. The Maa language version is targeting Maasai communities in Tanzania and Kenya.

When it comes to addressing climate change, the time for action has long since arrived. The climate is changing, and we each must do what we can to mitigate and adapt to these changes. Climate Smart Cape Town is a campaign to help residents of Cape Town learn about climate change and how they can take action, as well as to learn about the actions already being taken by the City of Cape Town and other leading public and private sector organisations to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
