Cycling for a cause – bringing mobility and empowerment to communities in need.
This year 97 riders competed in the Red Hill Charity Challenge to raise money for bicycles and training for communities who need mobility. The 29km circuit took riders through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Cape, testing their mettle with steep climbs! Many riders completed over 9 laps (+200km) on the day!
The Bicycle Empowerment Network was established in 2002 to provide bicycles to disadvantaged communities in the Western Cape and to impart skills, create employment & enhance their mobility.
