The GiraDora is a human-powered combination washer and spin dryer that is inexpensive way of uplifting communities in impoverished areas where women often spend nearly 6 hours a day, 3-5 days a week washing cloths by hand.

“Nelson Mandela gave 67 years of his life fighting for social justice. We are encouraged to give only 67 minutes of our time, taking responsibility for changing the world into a better place, one small step at a time.
We noticed some broken benches along one of our favorite mountain paths, so the Green Renaissance team decided to use our 67 minutes to repair these. We live in a beautiful city, offering amazing opportunities for us to immerse ourselves in nature – now everyone can enjoy the view. Go Play.”

Zambikes is a Zambian based social business dedicated to “not only building bikes, but changing lives “. They develop, manufacture and distribute a range of high quality bicycles, bicycle ambulances and cargo bicycle trailers to the underprivileged, addressing the economic and social needs of Zambia. They also manufacture bamboo bicycle frames that are custom handcrafted by skilled Zambians, using locally grown and sustainably sourced materials.
