The past year has seen the rise of consumer activism – from organic food markets to consumer awareness, people are starting to become more aware about what they are eating.
Over the past few months we have been consulting to eLabel (SA’ first environmental labeling platform) on various sustainability issues from food security to green living and carbon footprint analysis.
eLabel was developed to enable the sharing of unbiased information about products and services, particularly with regard to environmental, social justice and animal welfare concerns. eLabel has both a mobile and a web interface where users are able to access a range of information about various products from food to DVDs.
